Services

Sunday Morning Service at 9.15 am
On the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month, we have a Holy Communion service following the Book of Common Prayer, at 9.15am.

Sunday Morning Service at 10:30 am
The 10:30 Sunday morning service gives an opportunity for the whole family of God to meet for worship and prayer.

We base our worship on the Anglican prayer book ‘Common Worship’ and use a mixture of modern and traditional hymns and songs.

The normal pattern in the mornings is:

1st Sunday          --         All Age Service

2nd Sunday         --         Holy Communion

3rd Sunday         --         Morning Prayer

4th Sunday         --         Holy Communion

After the first hymn we involve the children in a lively and informal way before they go to Sunday Club which is available each week during term time.

On the 1st Sunday, the children remain with the adults and we all worship together as a family.

After all the services there is an opportunity to chat together over coffee and tea and at certain moments in the year (Harvest, for example) we have lunch together as a church family.

We encourage people to participate in the services by reading the Bible, leading intercessions, playing a musical instrument, and helping out in any way they feel able.

Sunday Evening Service at 6:30 pm
The Sunday evening service gives us an opportunity to meet for worship and prayer in a less formal and structured way. All ages are welcome and those who attend are often students & young professionals as well as members of the Christ Church morning congregation and those who go at other times to French- speaking churches.

We are committed to clear, Bible-based teaching in an atmosphere which is open to the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Emphasis is on contemporary worship in a relaxed atmosphere and a sense of community is fostered by an open invitation for all who attend to share a meal afterwards. In the evening we encourage people to share in ministry through reading, singing or leading. It is an ideal place to start to explore individual gifts of worship and teaching.
